The National Life Monument was sculpted by Timothy Schmalz as a celebration of the miracle of life and the woman at the center of that miracle. This work is meant to persuade through beauty and inspire reverence for human dignity.
The composition features a mother cradling her unborn child in a world-shaped womb, encircled by flowing organic forms that draw the viewer’s gaze inward in reverence and awe.
Full-scale versions of the monument are installed in Rome and Washington, D.C. Now available as a finely detailed mid-size replica, this sculpture brings the same life-affirming message into homes and prayer spaces.
